Notice: Due to the large number of early registrations, the Galt House hotel has sold out our entire block of rooms at the $125 per night price. We have contracted for an additional block of rooms, however, the best price we could negotiate at this late date is $135 per night. This is still well below the average downtown Louisville hotel rate, which is $150 and up. While we regret this unfortunate increase of $10 per night, we are delighted to have such a positive interest in our convention. The new block of rooms are likely to sell just as quickly, so do not delay in making your reservations with the Galt House hotel.

The Mid Central Region cordially invites you to attend The 2017 Pan American MCR Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Galt House, 140 N 4th St, Louisville, KY 40202. (MAP) Plans and preparations are well under way by a dedicated team of MCR volunteers working together to ensure you will have a rewarding and enjoyable experience at The Pan American 2017 MCR Convention.

The Pan American 2017 runs from Thursday, May 18 through Sunday, May 21, 2017, starting at 12:00 PM for registration check-in and ending with the Sunday morning MCR Annual Business Meeting.

Sandwiched between the two will be a veritable smorgasbord of model railroading activities you've come to expect at MCR conventions, including clinics, contests, prototype tours, layout tours, operating sessions, non-rail events, banquet, and more!

Mark your calendars now, figure out how to get to Louisville, then get ready for some real model railroading fun and enjoyment.

What can you expect at this Convention?

Clinics
The clinics program will focus on new innovations and techniques. It will also feature clinics which capture the oral history of actual railroad experiences from our members.

Layout tours
Layout tours will take advantage of the large number of high-quality layouts in the Derby City Area. There are great layouts in all scales and gauges! Having the Convention hotel in Downtown Louisville provides a central location for getting to a number of these great layouts.

Operating Sessions
Six layouts (Club/Home and HO/N) are open for operating sessions Thursday evening.

Prototype Tours
Two Prototype/Rail tours and Two Non-Rail tours.

Basic registration (no food or extra fare events) is only $90.
