Charlie Keeling Monthly Model Contest
We have a virtual model contest each month and the results are announced at our Division 8 Membership Meeting. Voting is personal preference. Formal judging is not part of the monthly contest. The contest year runs from August to June and points earned are totaled for the contest year. There is no contest in July, but at the annual Division 8 July Picnic, awards for first, second, and third are presented to the members earning the most points for the contest year. Be sure to VOTE for your favorite by viewing the current month’s entries and then following the voting instructions in the Monthly Contest ballot you receive by email from Division 8. Voting is “live” the two days prior to the meeting.

- February – Non-Steam Motive Power (Diesel, Electric, Gasoline)
- March – Structures
- April – Passenger Cars
- May – Cabooses
- June – Open Loads
- July – (no contest due to picnic)
- August – Maintenance of Way (MOW) Equipment
- September – Model Photos and Prototype Photos (Two separate contests)
- October – Steam Locomotives
- November – Displays (no size limit)
- December – Highway Vehicles
