This year the 2010 NMRA Division Eight Picnic will be at the Salem Monon Railroad Depot.
The date will be 31 July 2010 at we should plan to arrive at about noon.
This is a replica of the original railroad station that served Salem for 70
years and has tremendous displays of depot furnishings and antiques, advertisements,
a working depot office and a large HO Scale model railroad layout in the basement.
We will have a box lunch that includes a turkey, ham or roast beef sandwich, bag of chips
and a cookie. We will need to know your selection. The cost for lunch will be $5.00 and weÕll have some cokes available.
Division Eight is a division of the Mid-Central Region of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA).
It is the local chapter of the NMRA for Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
The mission of Division 8 is to promote Model Railroading in Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana and have a good time doing it.
We do this through our monthly meetings with modeling clinics, annual Christmas shows, and swap meets.
